Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3: 5 Storylines to Watch

By Mike Krolak | Sep 29th, 2015

At long last, the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 Premiere is TONIGHT 9|8c. You can watch the Season 2 finale to get caught up, but if you're looking for a quick refresher, here are 5 storylines to keep an eye on heading into the premiere.

1. Coulson Only Has One Hand Now

In the Season 2 finale, Director Coulson caught a Terrigen crystal and immediately his hand started to petrify. In a moment of quick thinking, Agent “Mack” Mackenzie lopped Coulson’s arm off just below the elbow. How will this affect Coulson going forward?

2. What Happened to Agent Simmons?

We know the events that occurred: The alien monolith swallowed Agent Jemma Simmons whole. But...that's not a lot to go on. Is she alive? In the monolith? Gone forever? For Fitz’s sake, let’s hope not.

3. Agent Daisy Johnson Has Inhuman Powers

Last season, Agent Daisy Johnson (formerly known as Skye) found out she has Inhuman powers. She’s proven her allegiance to S.H.I.E.L.D., but we're definitely interested to see what sort of role her powers will play this season.

4. What’s Next for Bobbi (and Hunter)?

Agent Bobbi Morse took a bullet for Agent Lance Hunter in the finale. Though she survived, she later said, “I can’t do this anymore.” What exactly did she mean by that?

5. What New Evil is S.H.I.E.L.D. Up Against?

We know that S.H.I.E.L.D. will be facing a formidable new foe this season. But who -- or what -- is it? Will the crew pick up new allies to help fight this threat?

Well obviously, the best way to find out is to tune in for the SEASON PREMIERE TONIGHT 9|8c on ABC. See you there!

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns TUESDAYS this fall 9|8c.
