What's the back story on Raina, the mysterious girl in the flower dress?

In "Face My Enemy," Hydra leader and all-around creepy guy Daniel Whitehall tortures Raina, telling her she has 48 hours to return the 0-8-4 Obelisk.

Before that, an entirely different creepy guy (Kyle MacLachlan) orders Raina to touch the dangerous 0-8-4 in "Heavy Is the Head." He tells her he'll help her understand the object if she brings him his daughter.

His daughter? S.H.I.E.L.D.'s very own Skye, who Raina found for him in the season 1 season finale, "Beginning of the End."
