Jaiying collapses to the ground after having shot herself. It’s all part of her plan to instigate a war with S.H.I.E.L.D. Skye has no idea that an attacking QuinJet was hijacked in order to further her mother’s bidding. For more intel, access the below Field Report for a recap and highlights for the Season 2 Finale “S.O.S. Part 1” and “S.O.S. Part 2” of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (original airdate May 12, 2015). WARNING: There are spoilers if you haven’t seen the episode.

No, You “May” Not: May wants Skye to help her fix the situation. That’s not going to happen. The two agents get into a brutal fistfight. Skye is losing the battle until she uses her powers. She forcefully lets May know that she’s not welcome there.

Mommy Issues: Raina tells Jaiying that the only person who can save the Inhumans is Skye. She wants to expose her for what she truly is. Jaiying can’t let that happen. She kills Raina having no idea that her daughter was watching the whole time.

What About Bobbi?: Hunter and May are off to find Bobbi, who is bracing to be tortured. Ward claims this is all being done to help Agent 33 heal. Bobbi tries to get into Ward’s head. She finds enough of an opening to escape from her bindings and gets into a brutal fight with him. Bobbi ultimately loses that battle. She’s set up as bait in a booby trap designed to kill Hunter.

New Feelings: After taking a bullet for Hunter, Bobbi is transported to safety. She’s barely alive. Simmons works to save her. While this is happening, May makes a call to Andrew. Their chat is brief, but meaningful considering the dire circumstances. Simmons is also feeling reflective. She mentions to Fitz that they never talked about what was said at the bottom of the ocean. She’d like to do that soon.

A Call to Arms: Mack is in a battle with Gordon over the Terrigen crystals. It’s hard to win a fight with a teleporter though. Nevertheless, Mack holds his own until Fitz arrives with a way to trap Gordon. In the end, Fitz is the one to slay Gordon. Coulson dives to catch a falling Terrigen crystal snagging moments before it is able to crash onto the floor. However, there are consequences to this action.

Broken Family: Skye races to stop her mom from leaving with the case of crystals. Jaiying cups her daughter’s face. She’s draining the life out of her. Skye manages to use her powers to flip the escaping QuinJet. It falls upside down into the ocean with the crystals still inside. Skye and Jaiying continue to do battle until Cal steps in.

Consumed By Her Work: Out in the ocean, the Terrigen crystals that fell off the QuinJet are released into the water. This has an effect on all the sea creatures that are later processed into things like food and fish oil vitamins. In other news, Fitz finally gets up enough courage to ask Simmons out on a dinner date. He heads off to figure out venue options. Simmons lets out a slight smile as she continues with her work which ends with a horrifying turn of events.
