As you may have guessed from the episode title, the entire family is off to the Happiest Place on Earth. They are joined by Ethan. He's the nephew of one of Claire's friends. He also happens to be the opposite of all the bad boys Haley tends to date, like Dylan. Speaking of D-Money, the entire family is shocked to see him walking down Main Street, U.S.A. It really is a small world after all.
Claire desperately wants to hook up Haley with Ethan, but the boy seems to have way more in common with Alex. It doesn't help that Dylan is suddenly back in the picture. He lost his dude ranch job in Wyoming so he had to find work as a Dapper Dan in Disneyland. Later, Dylan borrows a Little John outfit to explain himself to Haley. He says that he still loves her even though characters aren't supposed to talk. That's probably why he's fired. On the bright side, he does get back together with Haley. Who knew Prince Charming was a bad boy?
Manny is doing very well in a stock market project at school. It's not often you see a mini-broker in Mickey ears. Gloria is upset that her young son won't hang up the phone long enough to enjoy the park. She's also in agony after choosing to wear high heels. Gloria doesn't want Jay to know since he made such a big deal about telling her to wear comfy shoes.
Jay can't stand to see his wife suffering, so he buys her a soft pair of slippers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This leads to a theory that maybe, just maybe, Gloria gets very angry from time to time because she's always wearing uncomfortable shoes. Like we said, it's just a theory.
Lily is going through a phase where she bolts every chance she gets. That's why Cam hooks her up to a child safety tether. Okay, it's a leash. The many stares and glares they get from others forces Mitchell to unleash his little girl. Lily promptly takes off after Chip and Dale. Jay is able to solve the issue of his runaway granddaughter by doing the opposite of what he did with his wife. He buys Lily a pair of uncomfortable heels that make it hard to run. That'll work!
Phil, the "king of roller coasters," is psyched to go on all the big rides with Luke. Too bad the Indiana Jones Adventure has him beyond dizzy. That's not going to stop him from racing to the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Well, maybe "racing" isn't the right word. Phil sorta stumbles his way from ride to ride. He's bummed that he can't have fun with Luke because he's getting older. Actually, age may not be the problem here. There's a good chance Phil may simply be suffering from a debilitating case of the flu. Whoo-hoo!
Jay recalls the time he took his young kids to Disneyland solo after getting into a big fight with Dede. Some of the experiences of the day caused him to reflect on his failing marriage. Some stirring words from a robotic Abraham Lincoln inspired him to stay with Dede until Claire and Mitchell were grown. It wasn't easy, but Jay feels the universe ultimately rewarded him in the form of Gloria. Sounds like a happy ending.
