SEASON FINALE: Mitchell and Cameron Get Married
The wedding day chaos continues as the entire party shifts from one contingency plan to another. Guests start to get testy, Mitchell and Cameron are feeling discouraged and poor Claire shows physical wear and tear, but an unexpected turn of events leads to the ceremony that everyone has been waiting for.
Phil: "Yep. Thanks to $35 and the internet, you are looking at the good Reverend Philip Humphrey Dunphy."
Pepper (guest star Nathan Lane): "I've been informed by the fire chief -- we need to leave immediately. The winds have shifted!"
Cameron: "We have 30 minutes!"
Pepper: "A fellow wedding facilitator has informed me a beautiful space just became available. To the shuttles!"
Mitchell: "But we don't know a thing about this place."
Pepper: "Oh, my mistake. Let's go over it. It's a quaint, rustic spot, though its chief selling point is it's not about to become a kiln!"
Luke: "Hey! So, you, like, the minister?"
Phil: "Kinda. When they lost Sal, the situation was a no-brainer, which made them think of me."
Alex (suspecting Haley has a crush on Andy the manny): "He's not even like a real person. He's like a muppet."
Phil (reading Sal's wedding speech): "I don't even get some of Sal's remarks here. 'Marriage is like a freeway: Messy, but if you communicate, it's so worth it."
Claire: "Honey, that does not say 'free-way.'"
Cameron (discovering the new wedding venue is nice): "I love it, I love it. I could cry!"
Mitchell: "Don't cry. You'll streak your bronzer."
Pepper (on holding the wedding in Mitch and Cam's house): "It's going to be fine. Although we may need to sit some of the overflow guests upstairs."
Mitchell: "Oh, we don't own the upstairs."
Pepper: "Really? I always assumed there was a nicer part you weren't showing me."
Jay: "You two deserve the kind of wedding you've been talking about non-stop the last nine months."
Mitchell (suspiciously): "What do you mean?"
Jay: "You bring it up every up chance you get."
Mitchell: "I know what non-stop means!"
