She’s a thirty-something single mom from the wrong side of the tracks who proves that appearances can be deceiving. She’s got attitude and a brain, à la Erin Brockovich, but most of all, she’s disarming. Just when you think you’ve got her number, she’ll pull the rug out from under you.
Angie’s sexy and feisty, but not one of those primped, professional crime-fighting women – part Barbie doll, part superhero – like we’ve seen so manytimes before. She’s got looks, sure, but they’re real. Natural. Like her. What you see is what you get. Angie’s got almost a sixth sense when it comes to reading people and calling their bluff. She knows when a perp is lying. She can smell when something’s not right and she has the ability to see deep into that dark place where the motivation to kill is born. When her superiors get on her case about following procedure and sticking to the rules, Angie doesn't listen. Experience has taught her to ignore the party line and pay attention to that nagging feeling in her gut instead.
Angie’s unique style of investigation drives the stories forward and as she attempts to unravel each mystery, flashbacks lend a visceral, emotional reality to her theories and discoveries. A great mom and brilliant detective, Angie’s a true force to be reckoned with.
