Katie's Bio

This week, I officially named myself Sidekick to Stephanie Powell. It's a great responsibility that will involve many tasks. A Kato type provides for their Green Hornet not only in a professional way but as a confidante, a therapist, an emotional crutch and so much more. So many responsibilities fall under the umbrella of "Sidekick." After bestowing myself with this incredible honor, I paused to reflect on some of the roles I currently perform in Steph's life.

Lab Assistant - For the past five years, I toiled long hours everyday in Stephanie's lab. In those years, our plant research narrowed from extensive botanical research to that of the Trisettum Coronis. This week Global Tech board members honored Stephanie with the highest research grant based. To say, I'm stoked, would be the world's biggest understatement. In my career as a the professional peer who knows Stephanie better than anyone, even Dr. King, I feel truly like a person who helps her move forward.

Family Counselor - I'm working towards being the best sidekick ever and Jim confided in his BFF, George. That allows two out of the three Powells with powers a confidant. Unfortunately, Daphne being a teenage girl with fickle hormonal friends can't tell anyone about her mind-reading abilities. By default her confidant becomes her little brother JJ, a sweet, but let's be honest, daft fourteen-year-old boy. To help out the situation I attended a Powell family meeting to offer to be the big sister Daphne needs in this situation. She hasn't opened up to me yet, but I'm hoping she will.

Emergency Substitute - Of course, I could never be Stephanie but I tried to fill in for her. It of course backfired in my face. In attempting to take initiative and better Stephanie's life, I used her ID badge (in which we look nothing alike btw) and attended an insurance physical to protect her secrets. I sacrificed my body as her own, which unfortunately turns out to be a teeny, tiny felony if we get caught.

Partner-in-crime - We realized too much evidence amounted against us after the insurance physical situation. Only one solution emerged; steal an old blood sample of Steph's from the storage room and switch it out with my blood in the Global Tech lab. I architected this top secret operation. I procured Stephanie's old sample. While laying my charm on Dr. Chiles, Steph zooped in and "borrowed" his access card (as to not draw suspicion our way). After finding the layout to the building and memorizing every detail about the two night guards, I calculated the speed at which Katie would need to travel to remain INVISIBLE through the entire operation. Take that Robin.

Historian - While Steph and I completed our task of protecting her identity despite this "insurance physical obstacle," her hubby went tete-a-tete with jewelry thieves at a high-scale wedding. When she told me Jim withstood six bullets that night, I knew I needed to keep all this information stored safely. Just in case, well... if something bad ever happened to the Powells, it would be the sidekick's responsibility to avenge.
