Frequently Asked Questions

IN THE EVENT OF ANY INCONSISTENCY BETWEEN THESE FAQ AND THE OFFICIAL RULES, THE TERMS OF THE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL GOVERN.

Q: Where can I see the Official Rules?
A: The Official Rules contain all details regarding the Contest and can be found here.

Q: What is this Contest all about?
A: ABC is looking for the most extraordinary family in America. Are you a single parent raising your kids and volunteering at the local community center? Are your kids on the honor roll while you work full time and are still able to coach little league? Is your spouse in the military and you still manage to work full time while raising the kids? We know there are extraordinary families out there and we want to hear your story! Visit www.NoOrdinaryContest.com where you can complete an entry form and upload a video that shows why your family is extraordinary for a chance to win NO ORDINARY VIP vacation consisting of a 5-day/4-night trip for four to the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida.

Q: When can I enter the Contest?
A: Videos will be accepted between August 31, 2010 at 12:01 p.m. PT and September 13, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Q: For this Contest, what is a "Family"?
A: For purposes of this Contest, a Family is defined as at least one parent/legal guardian and at least one minor child/legal ward of that parent/guardian residing in the same private household, residence or living quarters for at least three (3) months of the year for the most recently past year as well as other persons included in the Entry. Please see the Official Rules for additional Entry submission and eligibility requirements, including rules regarding which members of the family must be included in the Entry and which members of the family also may optionally be included in the Entry.

Q: Who is an "Entrant" as defined in the official rules?
A: The Entrant is the person submitting the entry and must be the parent or legal guardian of at least one (1) minor child (under the age of 18) who is living with Entrant full-time at the time of entry. Please see the Official Rules for additional entry submission and eligibility requirements.

Q: What is an extraordinary family?
A: The following are non-exclusive examples of what an extraordinary Family might be:
     • Both parents work full time jobs and kids excel in academics. One is on the Honor Roll and
the other is in Advanced Placement classes.
     • One parent raising two kids. The family started an organic farm in the backyard and sells
produce to neighborhood families, and the kids help.
     • Father has a full-time job, mother stays at home to raise their son. Their son is the MVP of his
soccer team. Both parents help coach the soccer team.
     • Father is stationed in Iraq, mom is a nurse and raises their three kids. The mom still picks
them up and drops the kids off at school every day.
     • Both parents work full time jobs but still find time to coach little league on the weekends and
volunteer at the local church or community center.

Q: Who MUST appear and be mentioned in the Entry?
A: All family members (related by blood or marriage and regardless of age) who at the time of entry live full-time in the same residence or living quarters as the entrant. Please see Official Rules for complete details.

Q: Who MAY be included in the video?
A: Any family member (related by blood or marriage and regardless of age) who lives in the same residence or living quarters as the entrant for three (3) months or more out of the year, but who cannot be in the video at the time of entry as a result of the following:
     • They are currently attending a full-time educational institution (boarding school, college,
       etc...)
     • They are currently serving abroad on active military duty.
These people may appear or be mentioned in the video, but are not required to appear or be mentioned in the video. Please see Official Rules for complete details.

Q: Who CANNOT be in video?
A: Except as stated above, no one else should be included as part of the family or appear in the video.

Q: Is there a limit on the number of entries I can submit?
A: Yes. There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person and per residence during the Entry Period.

     • Either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio will be accepted as long as it complies with the time, file size,
format and resolution requirements set forth above.

Q: Can I post my video on YouTube or my Facebook page?
A: By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees not to distribute or otherwise disseminate their video for 120 days after submission.

Q: How will the winner be chosen?
A: The Entries will be judged and ranked on the following three (3) criteria by the Judges as stated in the official rules: Relevance to Contest theme (50%); Originality and Creativity (25%); Emotional Impact of Personal Story (25%).

The Administrator will conduct an initial review of all Entries and will advance the top twenty (20) ranked Entries.

Next, the Sponsor will conduct the final review of the top twenty (20). The Entrants who submitted the five (5) Entries ranked highest by Sponsor will be the finalists. Then, from noon PT on September 27, 2010 until noon PT on October 1, 2010, the 5 Finalist Entries will be posted on www.NoOrdinaryContest.com where America will be able to vote for the family they believe is the most extraordinary family. Each person may submit only one (1) vote per day.

The finalist who receives the highest number of valid votes will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner.

See Official Rules for complete details.

Q: What happens if I am selected as a finalist?
A: You will be notified by the Administrator on September 16, 2010 at approximately 4:00 p.m. PT using the contact information you provided when you entered. You will have until September 20, 2010 at approximately 4:00 p.m. PT to respond to the initial contact. Once you respond, the Administrator will provide you with all of the necessary paperwork you and members of your Family will need to complete and return (such as affidavits, releases, and consents for a background check). You will have 48 hours from the time the Administrator provides you the documentation to return all correctly completed documentation. Keep in mind members of your Family will also need to complete this paperwork during this time.

You'll also need to provide the Sponsor with the original video and audio files that you used to create the entry.

Please see the Official Rules for full details on finalist notification and requirements.

Q: Who will the prize be awarded to?
A: The Grand Prize will be awarded to the Entrant only. The Grand Prize Winner will be able to decide which individuals will accompany him or her on the trip.
