Michalplayed by Maisie Richardson-Sellers
MICHAL is the daughter of Saul and of a former concubine. She marches to the beat of her own drum, is a romantic at heart, and wants to marry for love rather than political considerations. Yes, she’s naïve and idealistic, but she’s also bold, adventurous, and willing to stand up for her opinions and for the rights of others.
Michal is very close to her family, particularly her father. She wishes she could settle his mind from the storms of war strategy and royal politics, and thinks situations can be resolved peacefully. But in a world fraught with violence and danger at every turn, will her idealistic compassion get her into trouble down the line?
Maisie Richardson-Sellers was born and raised in London, England. Her parents are actors, which meant a lot of her youth was spent in and around theatres. While studying, she also performed in a wide range of plays, both classical and modern. Upon leaving the university, Richardson-Sellers was offered her first professional acting role in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Following this, she landed a leading role in the CW’s series “The Originals,” playing Rebekah Mikaelson and Eva Sinclair in Seasons Two and Three. Richardson-Sellers has a keen interest in sailing, traveling and documentary filmmaking.
