Maya places another emergency call to Addison. At Naomi's house, Addison finds Maya's friend, Ruby, lying in a pool of blood. Maya lied. Ruby is the one who’s sick. She was just too embarrassed to go to a doctor. Rushing the bleeding girl to St. Ambrose, Addison diagnoses Ruby as having a late-stage ectopic pregnancy. The girl needs surgery—stat! Maya, left all alone in the hospital corridor, finally breaks down and calls her mom.

Nicole is also in the hospital. Pete ends up slugging Nicole's coach, Mike, for encouraging her to run despite the risk to her life. Love it!

With their patients stabilized, Addison and Pete catch up back at Oceanside. He's sporting a big, bloody bandage around his knuckles, which seems to be a total turn on for Addison. She rushes home and installs a new massaging showerhead to help her find “that” special joy during some "alone time."
