Addison quietly rides in an elevator with Pete, until he can't take the silence any longer. Pete slams the 'Stop' button, tells Addison how beautiful she is, but it's her intellect that really turns him on. Soon Pete is all over her…pawing…groping…kissing…until… BAM! Addison falls out of bed. It was all a dream. Don’t you just hate when that happens?!
At Oceanside, Violet tries to convince Addison that these kinds of fantasies are normal, especially during one's special "alone time." That's when Addison drops a shocker. She doesn't do "that." Have you figured out what “that” and “alone time” mean yet? Good. Violet and Naomi can't believe their friend doesn't indulge.
Violet's ex-boyfriend, Allan, comes into the office. Cooper warns her not to speak to him, but she's too weak. She pulls Allan into her office, even though he's supposedly a happily married man. Cooper tries spying on Allan and Violet in her office, but they come out before he can see anything. She swears Allan just wants to be friends again, although Cooper is skeptical. We’re with you on that one, Cooper. Thankfully, Violet gives Allan the heave-ho in the end.
[break]Addison receives an emergency phone call. It's Maya, Naomi's 13-year-old daughter, who's afraid she has gonorrhea. Shocking, right? She's just a kid! A kid who's too afraid to tell her mother she's sexually active. Addison keeps her secret and performs an examination. Maya's test results come back and it's good news. The young girl does not have gonorrhea.
In other cases, Dell performs his first pap smear, during which he's so nervous he drops the speculum on the ground. Sam treats Beth, the victim of a robbery, who wants a magic pill that’ll make her forget the traumatic event.
Pete has to deliver the bad news to an Olympic runner, Nicole, that the bronchial spasms she's been experiencing while running are killing her. Pete advises Nicole to stop running, but that’s doesn’t happen. Pete visits the track where she continues to train. During a sprint, Nicole runs out of breath and collapses onto the ground, unconscious.
[break]Maya places another emergency call to Addison. At Naomi's house, Addison finds Maya's friend, Ruby, lying in a pool of blood. Maya lied. Ruby is the one who’s sick. She was just too embarrassed to go to a doctor. Rushing the bleeding girl to St. Ambrose, Addison diagnoses Ruby as having a late-stage ectopic pregnancy. The girl needs surgery—stat! Maya, left all alone in the hospital corridor, finally breaks down and calls her mom.
Nicole is also in the hospital. Pete ends up slugging Nicole's coach, Mike, for encouraging her to run despite the risk to her life. Love it!
With their patients stabilized, Addison and Pete catch up back at Oceanside. He's sporting a big, bloody bandage around his knuckles, which seems to be a total turn on for Addison. She rushes home and installs a new massaging showerhead to help her find “that” special joy during some "alone time."
