Behind the Scenes: Butterflies

It's time to go behind the scenes of Rookie Blue season two with exclusive commentary from the cast and creators of the show. This week, star Missy Peregrym (Andy McNally) and Executive Producers Tassie Cameron and David Wellington discuss a scene in which Andy McNally first meets Detective Jo Rosati, played by series newcomer Camille Sullivan.

David Wellington: Executive Producer/Director
This actually turned out to be quite a beautiful scene. Missy, I think that you were astonishingly good.

Tassie Cameron: Executive Producer/Writer
And it's so nice that your first interaction with someone who's going to be a bit of an obstacle for you in the season is so kind between the two of you. I like that we made that choice.

Missy Peregrym: Officer Andy McNally
What was difficult is that we filmed episode 203 before 201. So I didn't even know who she was and all of sudden there was conflict between us. But after establishing it we knew what we had done later so that this scene had more context for us.

Tassie Cameron: Executive Producer/Writer
Like in another life you two might have been friends.

Missy Peregrym: Officer Andy McNally
She's great, I really loved working with [Camille].
