The Rookie Report: Season 5 Premiere of Rookie Blue!

A New Beginning: Sam is rushed into surgery after being shot at the station by Kevin Ford. Andy admits to Dov that she told Sam she loves him while he was bleeding out. Sam awakens let Andy know that he doesn’t want to waste any more time. See Andy’s reaction to his declaration.

 

A Dead Issue: After her initial surgery, Chloe asks to spend some time with her husband, Wes. This has Dov feeling like he needs to get some air. Frank orders him to get a bite to eat with Andy. Grilled cheeses and Irish floats are on the menu. Who knew they’d get caught up in a diner robbery pulled by a couple high on drugs? Once the situation is resolved and Chloe survives another health scare, Dov finally gets to chat with his girl.

 

Difficult Relationships: Everyone is looking for Nick in the aftermath of the shooting at 15. Too bad he had gone rogue in an attempt to find Sam’s next of kin. He had to do something for the guy who saved his life. Nick tracks down Sarah Swarek, Sam’s sister. She agrees to be there for her brother even though the two of them aren’t close. After Nick reunites the siblings, he gets a leveled by Andy in the waiting area.

 

Call Me: What would a show like Rookie Blue be without rookies? Duncan Moore is the newest rookie at 15. Andy offers to train him. Oliver gives his okay in front of Jarvis, who now wants to peruse the McNally file. Duncan takes a selfie before heading out on his first patrol. Then he gets the talk from Andy.

 

Oh, Brother: With Frank Best being dismissed from the job, Inspector Jarvis makes Oliver 15’s new staff sergeant. An intoxicated Andy lets Sam in on the news. Their conversation is cut short when his sister, Sarah, pops in to say goodbye. She was hoping things would be different with Sam this time around. They aren’t. There’s too much hurt and history regarding the past with their father. Later, Sarah tries to warn Andy what it means to be involved with her brother.
