Watch "Scandal Pops" for Scandal Season 5, Episode 11 "The Candidate"

Scandal Pops has arrived, Gladiators! We're here to catch you up on the biggest moments from each episode and "The Candidate" was filled with some serious action!

Olivia isn't the only one moving on when it comes to matters of the heart. When Journalist Lillian Forrester (Annabeth Gish) confesses to having a crush on the President while trying to conduct an interview, Fitz asks her out on a date. Off the record, of course.

Mellie and Olivia are hard at work on the book. Now if she could just answer one simple question -- Why did Mellie stay with Fitz after she found out about the affair with Olivia? It's tough to admit, that's for sure. Finally after revelations about Vermont, several bottles of hooch and a trip to Olivia's love shack, Mellie tells her ex-husband's former mistress the true reason why she stayed. She stuck it out because with Fitz off lusting after Olivia, Mellie found her freedom. Then the arrangement between the three just worked, so why leave? Upon hearing the explanation, Olivia tells Mellie she can never write a word of it in the book.

The hooch consumption also prompts Olivia to get candid about why she left Fitz. As it turns out, Olivia left for the same reason Mellie stayed. She was scared. With Mellie around, she had an out. Fitz was always unavailable. Without the First Lady, Olivia felt trapped. Empowered by telling her side of things, Olivia then dictates to Mellie exactly what to write in her book.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth North needs David Rosen's help getting Susan Ross to run for president, so she makes him an offer he can't refuse. David, in turn, plays upon the V.P.'s crush on him and asks her on a date. All bets with Liz are off when he seals the Susan date night at Gettysburger with an encouraging kiss, prompting Susan to put her hat in the presidential race.

After an attempt at motivating Fitz to make the most out of the last six months in office, Cyrus fakes a family emergency and leaves town. The destination? A rally led by the Governor of Pennsylvania. As he watches the dynamic Governor from afar, Cyrus laments on his recent interactions with the President. The lack of trust Fitz has with him is prevalent. Could it be time for Cyrus to move on from the Oval?
