SHARK TANK - EPISODE 410
ENTREPRENEUR: Bruce Gaither
PITCH: NO FLY CONE
ASKING FOR: $25k for a 15% stake
BEST PART OF THE PITCH: Bruce brings his dog, Biscuit, into the tank to demonstrate his non-toxic, cone-shaped flytrap that is placed over a natural attractant—that would be dog poop. The flies flock to the doggie doo and get caught in the inside of the cone. Bruce has a pal pop into the tank. It happens to be 2013 Oscar host Seth MacFarlane who is also the voice of many of his Family Guy creations. He's there as a show of support for the guy who gives him horse riding lessons.
DO THE SHARKS BITE? When Kevin goes out immediately, Seth tells him he's not a very nice man in his famed Stewie Griffin voice. Mark says he has no connections in this area, so he's out. He's also not happy that Seth picked on his Landmark Theaters with an earlier Stewie comment. Daymond goes out, too. Lori commends Bruce for coming up with a solution to a problem. The problem for her is the way that it works. It's a personal turn off. She's out. As much as Robert loves Family Guy, he can't invest either. Sadly, the No Fly Cone just didn't fly with the sharks. Stewie will be devastated. Let's hope he doesn't take it out on Lois.
