Park City was a great place for me to get to know these women better. Growing up I spent a lot of time in the outdoors with my father and my grandfather. There's something about a quiet day of fishing on the lake that can bring you peace. Also, you can really learn a lot about a person by being away from all the distractions of the city.
The thirteen women arrived to The Canyons resort and checked into their massive suite at the Waldorf Astoria Park City. I have to say that when I walked into pick up Rachel for our date, I was completely floored by the size of their room. The views of the mountains were beautiful, as was my date for the day. I was really excited to get to know Rachel and I wanted her to see Utah in the coolest way possible: by helicopter. The trees were every autumn color and the sky was completely blue as we took in the completely romantic countryside.
We took full advantage of the isolation and enjoyed a scenic canoe ride in a lake surrounded by mountains. Things got off to a slow start with Rachel, but once we were at dinner, she really started to open up. Our yurt was completely hidden in the middle of the woods and was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. For dessert, we made s'mores under the starry Utah sky. Rachel and I had really hit of off and as a guy with a serious sweet tooth, the s'mores capped the night off perfectly. Oh yeah, and the wonderful woman I shared them with.
I was so excited about the group date because I always used to love fishing with my father. I wanted to share that experience with these women, and now with my feelings starting to progress, I was amped to spend the day getting to know these women even better. Horse riding and fly fishing? That is a perfect date. Even though we weren't too successful in catching a fish, we had a great time. The only person who even caught one fish was Courtney. I really feel like I got to know her much better today. With only one fish, I guess the other women and I won't be eating too much. Thankfully, we have a party waiting for us back at the Waldorf Estoria.
This night was great and eye-opening and I could really see how seriously these women were taking things. At this point I'm really happy with how things are going.
My last date of the week was with Jennifer. She is a country music fan so the surprise I had in store for her was just perfect. During the day, we explored more of the unique nature of Park City by exploring one of the most incredible craters in the states. It was pretty terrifying for Jennifer, but we got through it together.
In the evening we took the Orange Bubble Express Lift up towards an amazing surprise I wanted Jennifer to experience. We came upon a packed Clay Walker concert. He was awesome and Jennifer and I loved the whole set. It's amazing to have a private concert, but being able to share this night with so many other excited fans like us was really the icing on the cake.
Snow fell on our last day in Park City and I have to say it really helped finish off a perfect week. I can't wait to come back to Park City in the winter for some skiing.
