With the New Year in full swing it’s time to make good on your resolutions. Before you head to the gym Harvey’s midsection workout. It’s sure to help you lose inches and excess weight.
Dumbbell Side Bend
Too many people spend all their time doing crunches and they neglect the other parts of their abs. For better results train the sides of your midsection but doing dumbbell side bends.
To do a dumbbell side bend hold a dumbbell in one hand and bend slightly to the side.
When working out your abs make sure you employ exercises that will train the front of your midsection like the double crunch. Most of us have tried crunches before but this version, when done correctly, is sure to help you find success.
To do the double crunch lie on your back, lift your head and pull your bent knees towards you.
Be sure to train your back as well as your front. This can be accomplished by doing a Superman. With enough practice you might even look like Superman while doing it!
To do the Superman lie on your stomach and lift your arms and feet at the same time.
Seated Trunk Twists
Another good exercise to improve your core is the seated trunk twist. This exercise will help the corset muscle pull in your abs. Who doesn’t want that?
To do the seated trunk twists sit on a mat with your legs out and twist your upper body from the right to the left.
