Before you start baking holiday treats make sure you have all the ingredients that you’ll need for the season.   Right after thanksgiving is a great time to inventory your pantry.  Especially since dry goods like flour, baking soda and baking powder can go bad after a year. 

 So, replace your flour annually and your baking soda and powder every 6 to 12 months.  Using them past their prime can sabotage all your hard work.
