Michael attended the South Beach Food and Wine Festival last week to defend his Burger Bash title. With three wins under his belt, Michael was hoping to add another to his repertoire. Unfortunately, Michael came in second place in both the people’s choice voting and judge’s voting. Who claimed the title, you ask? Good friend and arch-nemesis, Bobby Flay, came in first place in the voting, and therefore, edged out Michael in this year’s competition.
Here’s the run-down: Michael’s burger consisted of a French Onion Burger with caramelized onions, crispy onions, bacon, gruyere, horseradish cheese sauce, shasha and mustard sauce, and a side of rosemary fires. What a mouthful! Bobby’s burger consisted of the “Crunchified” Beef Burger with queso sauce, green chile pickle relish, and a side of potato chips. After Bobby broke Michael’s winning streak, you can image that a rivalry is heating up!
