Earlier this week the brightest stars of the food world put on their best dress and headed to Lincoln Center for the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards. This annual awards ceremony honors the best of the restaurant industry in categories ranging from outstanding service to best new restaurant to even restaurant design.
The top winners of the evening were David Chang from Momofuku Noodle Bar and Paul Kahan of Blackbird, who both won outstanding chef. Also, Brooks Headley of Del Posto won for outstanding pastry chef and Danny Bowien, outfitted in the most fun suit of the evening, won the Rising Star Chef award. Bowien was nominated last year, as well, but lost out to Christina Tosi.
