More to Chew On: Disturbing Lunch Trend

By The Chew Crew Jul 15, 2013

Lunch – whether you bring it from home or grab it at the cafeteria most people eat it at their desks.  In fact, almost 70% of Americans say they eat lunch at their desks just about every day according to the American Dietetic Association.

Next time you decide to eat at your desk just remember that your desk may have up to 400 times more bacteria than a toilet seat according to WedMD, so a trip outside might be a great idea.

When asked the number one reason Americans eat at their desk, they said that they are “too stressed” and can’t take the time for a lunch break.

Is there really “no time for lunch” anymore? Or do we just have our priorities wrong?
