More to Chew On: Last Bites From Around the Country

By The Chew Crew Oct 08, 2012

Here at The Chew we love Italian food, especially when Mario makes it.  However, apparently there are a few people out there that love it even more than we do.
Not only does Brian Dwyer of Philadelphia own the Guinness World Record for largest collection of pizza memorabilia, but he also has a caricature of himself, eating pizza, tattooed on his back with the phrase “Totally sauceome!”  Click here for the pix.
More than that just this past week, Brian opened Pizza Brain in Philly which is described as the nations first pizza museum. Pizza Brain is filled with pizza bearing figurines, magazine covers and even a Star Trek Enterprise pizza cutter.  Find out more here.
If you’re more of a pasta person than a pizza person you’ll enjoy this story.  D Jeremy Scott enjoys pasta so much that he actually made a dress out of it. This dress comes complete with a meatball necklace.
Austrian man Niko Alm, a self described “Pastafarian,” fought for 3 years for the right to wear a pasta strainer on his in his driver’s license photo.  He claimed to belong to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and that the strainer was part of his religion.  This was Niko’s protest to a recent Austrian regulation that made it illegal for residents to wear headgear in their photo.  Read more about it here.
