In honor of Presidents Day, the co-hosts talk about initiatives they would take if elected to office. Here’s what they had to say:
Mario would work to ensure that there were no hungry people in the world. He believes that we toss half of the food we buy, and we should try to make use of our food and donate to those in need.
Daphne would work to regulate food labels so that consumers would know exactly what is in the products they are buying, and could therefore make better food choices.
Michael would invest in small farms. There are many small farms that harvest organic products, but cannot afford to have their products certified as organic due to the high costs, so he would like to streamline this process.
Clinton would raise awareness of local farms. He would like people to have an understanding about where their food is coming from, and work to improve conditions for animals.
On a slightly different note, Carla is concerned with the representation of Washington, D.C., her hometown.
Whether food related or not, what actions would you take if elected president?
