On today’s Last Bites, Yvette Nicole Brown tells the co-hosts about the unique eating habits in Cleveland, where she grew up. People tend to eat calorie-loaded dishes in Cleveland because you need an “extra layer” to keep you warm, as she says. The type of food that she indulges in when she returns home to Cleveland is not food that should be enjoyed every day. In fact, Mario names Cleveland the Disney Land of cured meats. With dishes like French fries topped with meat, cheese, and sauces, the typical Cleveland fare is food you can really chow down on, and the locals encourage Yvette to do so. When Yvette heads to Los Angeles, she says that people consider her overweight, but when she returns home to Cleveland, people tell her how thin she looks and persuade her to eat more. Sounds like Cleveland is a place we would love to visit!
