Something Sweet for a Sweet Mom

By ABC May 10, 2012

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and chances are you haven’t gotten your mom a gift yet.  Not to worry.  Instead of sending her flowers and chocolates this year, make a delicious brunch that’s just as sweet as she is.  It takes a little more effort but it will remind your mom just why you’re her favorite child.  Here are a few recipes that are sure to be a big hit with any mom.
Carla’a Pumpkin Beignets

These tasty pastries make for a delicious breakfast - or really anytime - treat.  The pumpkin flavor goes perfectly with the caramel dipping sauce.  Plus, they’re lots of fun to eat.
Daphne’s Bacon Pancakes

This bourbon and bacon-filled delight is almost sinfully good, but it’s really the kind of dish you can only have once a year.  Why not have it on Mother’s Day?

Mario’s BLT French Toast

Most people think of the traditional French toast as a treat by itself.  Its delicate and rich flavor is hard to improve, but Mario found a way.  With this dish he married two of his favorite breakfasts into one.  The dish still has a sweetness from the French toast it also has a savory flavor from the tomato and bacon.

Michael’s Homemade Biscuits

These simple biscuits are just the thing to show your mom you care.  They take minutes to make but are a hit with even the pickiest of eaters.

Clinton’s Fried Mini Apple Pies

It might be breakfast but it’s never too early for fried food or pie.  Enjoy!
