Americans spend about eight billion dollars on cosmetics every year. Before you invest in that fancy face cream that might not give you the results you're looking for try a natural remedy. Daphne has pulled together some of her favorite beauty fixes and the best part is they are made with items you have in your pantry.
Brighten Your Complexion
Combine Greek yogurt with honey and apply it your skin. The lactic acid in the yogurt and the anti-microbial in the honey will slough off dead skin and unclog pores.
Moisturize Your Skin
Winter is coming soon and that means dry skin. Instead of buying bottles of lotions and moisturizers try making your own scrub. Daphne mixes 1 teaspoon of olive oil with a ¼ cup of ground almonds and then just applies it to her skin. After you wash it off your skin will be smooth and shiny.
Cleanse Skin Naturally
You can cleanse your skin and shrink your pores without breaking the bank. Make your own astringent by combining 2 teaspoons of lemon juice with 2 teaspoons of vodka and 1 teaspoons of distilled water. Mix it together and apply to your face with a clean cloth or cotton balls.
