Oysters make it on to most Valentine’s Day menus because they’re considered aphrodisiacs. Serve raw oysters in a new way this February 14th by making them into oyster shooters. Have your fish monger shuck small-to-medium oysters for you, and ask them to reserve all of the juices. Place an oyster in each shot glass, add about an ounce of vodka, a couple dashes of hot sauce, some chives, a bit of sliced shallot, a drop more vodka and a squeeze of lemon for freshness. Enjoy these with that someone special and you’re sure to impress!
