Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs

No need for expensive and chemical-laden dyes from the store, color your eggs with items you already have in your kitchen!

Materials
1 dozen hard boiled eggs

Blue/ Turquoise
1/2 head purple cabbage
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar

Red/ Lavender
4 Cups red onion skins
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar

Yellow
5 carrots
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar

Pink/Red
1 Cup shredded beets
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar

 

Instructions
- For the Blue Color: Combine the ingredients in a medium pot. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Strain and let cool to room temperature. Drop desired amount of eggs into the dye overnight for more vibrant color.

- Repeat instructions for the red dye, yellow dye as well as, the pink dye.
