1, 2…5 Snacks You Need at Your Back in the Game Party

By Lindsey Antis | Aug 28th, 2013

This fall James Caan is back in primetime with his new hit comedy, Back in the Game.  Recently, Carla caught up with him at a baseball diamond to find out a little more about his character, Terry Gannon Sr.

Terry Gannon Sr. is a loving, caring and slightly eccentric grandfather and he isn’t afraid of sticking up for his grandson.

Whether or not his grandson believes this is necessary is another issue.

In honor of the show, and their great relationship, we pulled together our five favorite baseball snacks recipes.

5. Popcorn Balls

Forget Cracker Jacks, these popcorn balls are a homerun in our book.  They are held together by an irresistible marshmallow-chocolate mixture.  Yes, you will want more than one.

4.  Hot Dogs

You can’t have any baseball themed celebration or watch Back in the Game without a hot dog.  This specialty frank comes complete with crispy bacon and gooey cheese.  In a word, yum!

3. Ice Cream Sandwiches

We never met an ice cream sandwich we didn’t like, but this lemony version blows ball park sandwiches out of the park.

2. Sausage Stuffed Pretzel

Yes, this pretzel is stuffed with hot Italian sausage.  The best part is they are simple to make – just use any store bought pizza dough.

1. Michelada

Beer and baseball are a perfect match.  Wash down all your goodies with tasty beer cocktail.
