  • 8-10 Granny Smith Apples (peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick)
  • For the Crust:
  • 1/2 pound Butter (melted and cooled)
  • 8 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3 cups Flour
  • For the Crumble:
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 3/4 pound Butter (firm and chunked)

    1/2 pound Butter (melted and cooled)
    8 tablespoons Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
    2 teaspoons Baking Powder
    3 cups Flour
    For the Crust: Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the crust ingredients in a food processor and pulse until dough comes together. Remove from work bowl and spread onto a 12x17" baking sheet, completely filling pan.

    8-10 Granny Smith Apples (peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick)
    Shingle sliced apples in 3 columns lengthwise, filling the pan completely.

    3 cups Flour
    2 teaspoons Cinnamon
    3/4 pound Butter (firm and chunked)
    For the Crumble: Wipe out work bowl and blade of food processor and place back on machine. Combine the crumble ingredients into machine and pulse to form a coarse crumble. Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve slices of cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
