Sweeten a pitcher of iced tea or a cocktail with this berry-lime syrup.
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4  cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • zest of one Lime
  • 3/4 cup Blackberries

    1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    1 1/2 cup Water
    1/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice
    zest of one Lime 
    Combine sugars, water and lime juice and zest in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Boil, stirring regularly, until the mixture has reduced to roughly 2 cups (about 20 mins.)

    3/4 cup Blackberries
    Meanwhile, puree blackberries and transfer to a bowl fitted with a fine mesh strainer. Force the puree through the strainer and discard any seeds.

    Whisk the berries into the syrup and set aside to cool. Place in an airtight jar and refrigerate.
