A strong, summery drink!
Clinton Kelly's Bourbon Peach Smash
- 2 Slices fresh peach
- 1 Handful fresh mint
- 1 ounce ginger-mint simple syrup
- 1 1/2 ounce bourbon
- Splash sweet vermouth
- Ginger ale
- 1 Sprig mint
- 1 Ginger slice
- Add the peaches, mint and ginger-mint simple syrup to an old-fashioned glass and muddle vigorously. Add bourbon and a splash of sweet vermouth. Pack with large chunks of ice and top with ginger ale. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a ginger slice.
- To make the simple syrup combine equal amounts of water and sugar in a pot. Add a piece of ginger and a bunch of mint. Bring to a boil and let the sugar dissolve. Once it has dissolved strain.
