This tasty summer treat is just the thing to eat on those hot summer days.
Cherry Sauce for Shaved Ice
- 1 pound Pitted Frozen or Fresh Cherries (thawed and drained with juice reserved)
- 1/4 cup Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- In a blender or food processor, puree the cherries.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the cherry puree, lemon juice, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil and reduce by half, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and strain sauce through a sieve and allow to cool before use.
- Drizzle over shaved ice.
