Seven Layer Blondie Bars
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted, plus more for greasing the pan)
  • 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Tsp baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups semisweet mini chocolate chips (divided)
  • 1 1/4 cups slivered almonds
  • 2 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 pound coconut flakes
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 pound walnuts (chopped)
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Generously grease 13" x 9" baking pan with butter and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, use a whisk to combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add the flour mixture to the brown sugar mixture. Stir until mixture is well combined and smooth.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Place in the oven to bake for 10 minutes or until just slightly set. Let cool slightly.
  • In even layers, sprinkle the top of the blondies with the walnuts, 2 cups of chocolate chips, slivered almonds and butterscotch chips.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk with the coconut and pour over the blondies in an even layer.
  • Place in the oven to bake until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, melt the remaining chocolate chips in the microwave. Drizzle the top of the blondies with melted chocolate. Let blondies cool completely before cutting into squares.
