A truly gourmet pizza!
Daphne Oz's Robiola Pizza with White Truffle Oil
pizza dough (store bought or your favorite recipe)
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
2 1/2 cup fresh Robiola cheese
5 tablespoon white truffle oil (or to taste)
- Roll out pizza dough into a large round. Dock all over with a fork.
- Add olive oil to cast iron skillet. Put dough in skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side (so sides are golden brown).
- Once the dough is cooked cut in half lengthwise (so you end up with two round pieces). Flip on dough circle over (so the crusted brown is on bottom) and layer inside with robiola, chives, and truffle oil. Put second circle on top and place pizza on a baking sheet. But in oven at 500F for 5-8 minutes, until cheese has fully melted. Remove from oven and top with more truffle oil, to taste. Cut into slices and serve immediately.
