Chocolate Chip, Salted Pecan and Cheddar Mix

  • Chocolate Chip Crumble:
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 12 ounces cold Unsalted butter; cubed into tablespoon size pats
  • 2 cups Mini Chocolate Chips

Cheddar Crumble:

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 3/4 cups finely grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 12 ounces cold Unsalted butter; cubed into tablespoon size pats

Salted Pecans:

  • 1 1/2 cups Pecan Halves
  • 6 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • For Chocolate Chip Crumble:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Whisk together Flour, Sugars and Salt in a large bowl. Beat in Butter until crumbly. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Crumble small pieces of dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

    Bake for 3-4 minutes or until the cookies are slightly brown around the edges. Cool slightly on rack. These can be stored in an airtight container for a few weeks.
  • For Cheddar Crumble:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Whisk together Flour, Sugar, Cayenne and Salt in a large bowl. Stir in Cheese in Flour, making sure to break up clumps. Beat in Butter until crumbly. Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead until smooth. Crumble small pieces of dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

    Bake for 3-4 minutes or until the cookies are slightly brown around the edges. Cool slightly on rack. These can be stored in an airtight container for a few weeks.
  • For Salted Pecans:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Evenly spread Pecans onto a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 4-5 minutes or until warm and toasted.

    Meanwhile, melt Butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium. Season with Salt. Once Pecans are toasted, stir into the butter and toss to coat.

    Place a cooling rack into the rimmed baking sheet. Evenly spread the Salted Pecans onto the rack. Return to oven for 2 minutes then remove and allow to cool to room temperature.
  • To Assemble:
  • Toss together the Chocolate Chip Crumble, Cheddar Crumble and Salted Nuts and serve.
