Daphne Oz's Chocolate Mint Chip Smoothie

  • 1/2 ripe Banana
  • 1/4 cup Frozen Spinach
  • 1/4 ripe Avocado (peeled and seeded)
  • 1-2 tablespoons Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (optional)
  • 1-2 teaspoons Psyllium Husk Powder or Chia Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Flaxseed Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or pure Maple Syrup (optional)
  • 3/4 cup Ice
  • 2 tablespoons Semisweet Chocolate Chips or Carob Chips

  • Place the banana, spinach, avocado, coconut (if using), psyllium, oil, peppermint, coconut milk, honey (if using), and ice in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Add the chocolate chips and blend to break them up and distribute throughout the smoothie.
