step-by-step directions
  • Preheat oil to 350°F.
  • Choose the batter flavor that you want to make, or make both in separate bowls.
  • Whisk together the Milk and Eggs in a measuring cup and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the dry ingredients until evenly combined.
  • Stir the milk mixture into the dry ingredients until mostly combined then stir in the Melted Butter. The mixture should be thin like pancake batter.
  • Using a funnel with your finger over the spout, ladle about 1/2 to 1 cup batter into the measuring cup, using more or less for a larger or smaller funnel cake.
  • Hold the filled funnel a few inches above the Oil. Release your finger and move the funnel around in a circular pattern to create a funnel cake design.
  • Allow the batter to fry for 45 seconds to a minute until cooked and crispy on the first side. Flip and continue to fry for 30-45 seconds until crispy.
  • Carefully remove to a paper towel-lined plate and dust heavily with Powdered Sugar.
  • Serve warm with your choice of topping.
