Smashed Burger
  • 8 ounces ground sirloin
  • 8 ounces ground short ribs
  • 8 ounces ground brisket
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 potato buns (toasted)
Toppings Bar:
  • American cheese slices
  • cooked bacon slices
  • green lettuce
  • sliced tomatoes
  • sliced red onion
  • dill pickle chips
  • ketchup
  • stadium mustard
  • hot sauce
  • griddled sliced onions
  • griddled sliced mushrooms
  • blue cheese (crumbled)
  • Preheat the griddle over medium-high heat and grease with olive oil. Form the meat into 4 balls. Place on the griddle and smash until about 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch thick. Allow to cook until browned and slightly crispy on one side, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Top with cheese during the last minute of cooking and allow to melt. Remove to a potato bun and top with desired toppings.
