Watermelon Lemonade Ice Cubes

What a genius way to add some sweetness to a drink!

Watermelon Lemonade Ice Cubes
  • 1 1/4 cups store-bought lemonade
  • 2 cups watermelon (seeds removed, roughly chopped)
  • Divide the lemonade evenly between a large 2-inch by 2-inch square silicone ice cube tray, or any ice cube tray you have on hand, filling half way up the sides of the mold, and freeze for 1 hour. In the carafe of a blender, add the watermelon and puree until smooth. Strain and pour the strained watermelon mixture over the frozen lemonade dividing evenly between the ice cube tray, filling to the top of the mold, and freeze again for another hour until frozen.
  • Serve with vodka, rum, tequila, or soda water!
  • Tip: You could also use a muddler or masher to muddle the watermelon until there is plenty of juice in the bowl to fill the ice cube tray.
