Ted Cruz Running for President, Monica Lewinksy's Life Saving TED Talk and UFC Fighter Ronda Rousey

By Marisa Dabney | Mar 23rd, 2015

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, Nicolle Wallace  and guest co-host Michelle Collins discuss the latest hot topics including Republican Ted Cruz running for President.

Hot Topic: Cruz Sets Sail
Republican Ted Cruz has become the first major 2016 Presidential candidate. If Senator Cruz is wrong on the facts of the issues facing the nation, for example climate change, is he fit to run for President? Additionally, similar to President Obama he is mixed race; half Cuban. Ted Cruz was born outside of the United States; Canada. Is it fair for Ted Cruz to be attacked about these facts as he and other republicans attacked President Obama?

Hot Topic: Monica's Ted Talk
"The View" Co-hosts agree with an impassioned Nicolle Wallace that Monica Lewinsky's battle to stop internet bullies is a cause worth fighting for. Nicolle Wallace has offered to help with creating a bill and funding to put in effect policy that will hold social media companies and parents responsible in an effort to stop cyber bullying.

Hot Topic: Eye of the Beholder
"The View" co-hosts discuss art and what makes it appealing to people. This conversation was prompted by a museum painting, said to be worth millions, turning out to be from Ikea.

Hot Topic: Where Cookie Sends Her Kid
Actress Taraji P. Henson, famed for her role as Cookie on "Empire," is sending her son to Howard, a historically black college, instead of USC. She made this choice due to racial profiling which made her worry about her son's safety at USC.

UFC Fighter Ronda Rousey on "The View"
UFC Fight Ronda Rousey can be seen in the film "Furious 7" and has also posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She shows off some of her moves in the ring with "The View" crew member Tom Kelly.
