On the July 8th, 2015 episode of "The View," co-host Rosie Perez was celebrated by her fellow co-hosts as she shared her plans for the future. At the top of the show Rosie announced she is leaving "The View" stating, "I've decided that it's time to move on. And I will say that today is very bitter-sweet for me." The multi-talented actress, dancer, activist and boxing aficionado plans to focus on her acting and will be leaving the show at the end of the 18th season. She is grateful for the opportunity to be on the show and to work with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Raven-Symone. Rosie joined the show this past fall and also currently stars on Broadway in Larry David's "Fish in the Dark."

She also took time to thank Barbara Walters, Disney | ABC Television Group President Ben Sherwood and most importanly her fans. She acknowledged all the love and support has been overwhelming, especially from the Latin American community. She brought this point home saying, “Every time one of you guys come up to me and say 'I love you on The View' It makes my day.”
