Cuba Gooding Jr. on 'The View': Star of 'The People v. O.J. Simpson’
Cuba Gooding Jr. explains why he took the role of O.J. Simpson in the new FX drama "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" and the importance of not judging a character before taking on a role. Cuba admits he cheered when he first heard the O.J. verdict, as guilty or not he was happy another black man was not going to be railroaded by the police. However, after shooting a scene for “American Crime Story” in which O.J. attends Nicole Brown Simpson’s funeral he realized two innocent lives were lost and got emotional and felt ashamed of his past response.
