If this series is following the older one in any regard, I would say Tyler may impregnate Lisa. This is just a guess but could be a possible outcome.

Of topic,,, why do the vistors refer to themselfs as "v"s" Humans call them V"s but why do they call each other that,, dont they have a species name or governmet or religion they idintfy with?

I really enjoy the show. Great also to see a couple of former "Firefly" alums. For certain, I think that Anna plans to use Tyler as an experiment for cross-species interbreeding...BUT not before she has his flesh cloned and sends an agent back home as his evil V twin to spy on his Mom and the resistance in general. Also, is it a co-incidence that the resistance V group is the fifth column...roman numeral "V"? Maybe thats what the red V represents. And this whole "Bliss" thing? Obviously a way to control the thinking of humans. Perhaps a little bite of venom renders a human subserviant and docile to the V's- just like the fighter pilot's wife. Food (ahem!) for thought.

I think if the writers truly want to do something different, they should do as someone suggested eariler, have Tyler be a part V from a dad that is not there anymore. In eariler posts, a question was asked what Anna did to the grieving widow of the F-16 pilot. It could have been as simple as giving her lots of cash (I am sure by this time the V have some sort of money set up with Earth) or say that her kid will have full access to Training as a Liasion to the US as the first human trained in V healing or military (boys tend to want to be like dad) or the V's will "make sure" her son and her are taken care of in the future. Greed (even from those mourning) drives human attitudes. If not true, why do people sue corportations and settle out of court if they get lots of money.. Money does not replace the loss (I speak from experience, losing my first kid (stillborn)) I don't think suing people does anything to replace a loss. But I have been told "true, but you could have had a nice big house, car, and all sorts of neat things because of the lawsuit." Other suggestions for the writers: who is going to support the "fith column"? In the major wars, WWII, Vietman, Russia vs Afganistan, etc. some sort of major power was supporting the resistance/gurellia/"insurgants" in their fight against the occupying force. Who will support the insurgants (I'm sure this term will be used)? If private corporations keeping the status quo, will some members of the column sell out principles to help them (old V??). Finally, as for the plot going too fast, my view is that A) ABC is not sure if they will renew it (look at Babylon 5, every year the cast/crew was not sure that it would be renewed, at that had a five year set plan.). B) The writers/producers/ABC/ et. al. know that Americans have a notorious short attention span and are not willing to work through a slow plot line like the old V's fans did. C) not to be too mean, but a lot of people (most it would seem) don't want to think too hard and figure out what is going on. They want to be spoon fed quickly, and move on to something else.

I'm 42 and I like the show . I liked the 80's three part mini-series but not the series. I think you are right it was for a younger audience.

I think V is the best new show on television, I was a fan of the original series but this new ABC series is fantastic... Can't wait for the series to really get started in 2010. ABC please don't listen to the nay sayers these kind of people can't say anything without saying something bad. Keep up the good work the show is fantastic. The actors, the sets, the story, the effects, everything is great. Thank You.

ok this was kind of subtle, but when tyler brings lisa to his room and they hear his mom call his name he tells her "i;m sorry it's my mom...she doesn't like V's" and tells her to wait in the room and not do anything. but lisa ends up taking off her uniform and making some noise, so erica goes in there and sees her. at first i thought that lisa made a noise on purpose to see who tylers mom is and to tell anna that she's against them. but then at the end when we find out that anna is lisa's mom and lisa looks at her somewhat resentfully, i changed my mind. i think she took of her uniform because she knows it has a camera on it, and she didn't want erica to come into the room and be seen by the rest of the V's, because i think she actually loves tyler and doesn't want to bring him or his mom any harm. i think she tells her mom that tyler is it ( i dont know for what reason) because she still wants to make her mom happy, but i think she will turn on her. i just really think her taking of her uniform was really important, especially because it has a camera on it, and he told her his mom doesnt like V's...

I think they know his mother is the FBI agent and are going to use him to get to her.

I agree ABC should have started the show in September and aired more episodes this Fall. In March, they will be going against American Idol. I'll probably catch the episodes on the Internet at my leisure. I can wait.

Hahah! everybody's expecting that Lizard Baby to come out anytime soon, it's going to be a nod to the old series if they do that again.

I can't believe they did that. 2 little words that turn a decent Science Fiction show which has potential, into a piece of cliched junk without a hint of original thought. Seriously, the senior decision-makers on this show should be sacked immediately. This level of obvious incompetence is just inexcusable.

Based on her the acting of Lisa it seems like she may turn on her. I think the star child idea of the original series was a bit cheezy. So far the series is great but I think the original mini series gave a bit more fear 2 the view. A human giving birth to an alien is much scarier than an Alien giving birth to a hybreed. Woul't everyone agree????

so I'm thinking that anna needs the info to influence the widow.. remember the visitors are showing human characteristics (not sure if the writer is using personification or is just giving the visitors parallel character constructs for us to relate..) and show anger, greed, trust, and deceit. Along with the "bliss" of the others, Anna is in control with any other leader of the human kind. Relating with followers and intellectually and emotionally convincing them to keep with the "flow." Rap up- Above humans, able to influence; at human level, lacking ability to evoke "mind controlling powers" because they have to live within the means of human relation ??

We love watching the show!!!!! I used to watch the original show back in the 80s. I thought that the original V show kicked some butt. I hope that this show continues. Eventhough this show has to be up-dated I still hope that they keep the plot similar to the original. I loved the episode when Tylers friend knocked the movie Independence Day. He just said what long time V fans thought .....that movie was a knock off of the original V series... The Mother ships where very similar. It would be nice to see some old V characters on the new show and for the new show to tie into the old somehow. Maybe Dianna could be Anna's mother. Robert England could come back as Willie. I don't know how they will come up with the new starchild.......The original was Elizabeth and she was born to the human Robin after Robin got close to a Visitor. If Tyler and Lisa have a starchild I don't see how that could work with the mother being a visitor. Elizabeth had powers and was good. If Tyler and Lisa have a starchild how will tyler take it away from lisa. If they do I hope that it is a girl.....It has to be a girl......I like the character of lisa because I like the actress that plays her part. I used to watch her when she was on smallville as Kara (supergirl).. she was perfect for that part because smallville kept with the history of supergirl. she looked like the original..She is a great actress. I also like the actor that playes the priest from 4400...That is so cool how the writers mentioned that with an address....We hope that the new V lasts ...we just hope that it stays true with the original series with the needed up dates for the 2000s....Again, have some old characters brought back for some episodes as guest stars. ...And remember that the spray painted V stands for Victory not Visitors....
