Can the bigger brains win out over the bigger bodies? In a true test of wits vs muscle, contestants with brainy jobs (doctors, scientists and researchers) will take on a group of beefed-up hard bodies who take their gym time very seriously. The Wipeout course will see them get dumped and shoveled at the Wipeout Construction Zone before they take a moment of Owws and Zen in the Wipeout Dojo. Will muscular physiques or brain power prevail as the top 12 continue on to the Miami Pound Machine, Sugar Smacks and the illustrious Wipeout Zone? Only one big brain or one big brawn will get to brag to friends and walk away $50,000 stronger.
"Wipeout," hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Jill Wagner (MTV's "Teen Wolf") airs THURSDAY, JUNE 27 8|7c on the ABC Television Network.
"Wipeout" has successfully taped over 100 episodes, a feat we'll be celebrating all season long. In addition, the series recently won the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show for the second year in a row.
Each week, 24 energetic contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head in four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of Wipeout Champion and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!
