The Paw Project - The Paw Project's mission is to educate the public about the painful and crippling effects of declawing, to abolish the practice of declaw surgery, and to rehabilitate cats who have become crippled from declawing. Declawing is the amputation of the last bone of a cat's toes - equivalent to cutting off your finger at the last knuckle. Paw Project veterinarians have performed over 200 paw repair surgeries on 70 big cats since 2000. These surgeries were made possible through the generous donations of people like you who care about animals. The Paw Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more information about alternatives to declawing and how you can help our feline friends, please call (310) 795-6215 or visit the Paw Project web site at www.PawProject.org.

The Planeterra Foundation - The Planeterra Foundation is a non-profit organization with a long history of supporting sustainable community development through travel. By getting to know local people in the communities we visit, we are able to help identify individual needs and act quickly to meet them. Our projects - from tourism training in Tanzania to women's weaving in Peru - offer travelers with a few hours, a few days or a few dollars to spare a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and communities around the world. For more information please visit planeterra.org.
