Also another fix idea is to go into your Internet properties cick on security settings and make sure that in the local intranet settings that the active x and plugin option is enabled otherwise it will prevent plugins and cookies from downloading.

I had no problem using the new download perhaps it could be that I am using Internet Explorer7 and not IE 8 just a suggestion to all of you having problems. Do not forget that a lot of internet sites are not compatable with the new IE 8 and therefore could interrupt computer use drastically. Otherwise I LOVE Desperate Housewives and am sad when they go off the air for seaon changes.
