Actor Biography

Ron Livingston has starred in several iconic roles throughout his illustrious career. As Captain Lewis Nixon in the 2001 HBO TV series Band of Brothers, Livingston was nominated for a Golden Globe® in the Best Supporting Actor category. The critically acclaimed series won the Emmy®, Golden Globe, AFI and Peabody Award for best miniseries that year. That fall, Livingston also took a memorable turn as Jack Berger on the HBO hit series Sex and the City, opposite Sarah Jessica Parker.

Livingston can currently be seen starring in Jason Reitman's latest dramedy, Tully, opposite Charlize Theron for Focus Features. He also stars in the original series Loudermilk, for the Audience Network.

Livingston recently wrapped production on the independent films Holly Slept Over, The Long Dumb Road and The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot. Livingston has had a myriad of films premiere at Sundance over the years in Park City including Touchy Feely, The End of the Tour, James White and Digging for Fire. Drinking Buddies, a critical hit that starred Jake Johnson, Jason Sudekis, Anna Kendrick and Olivia Munn, had its world premiere at SXSW.

Additional television projects include the multiple award-winning film Game Change, for HBO, as well as Boardwalk Empire, where he garnered a SAG Award nomination in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category. Livingston also starred in NatGeo's Saints & Strangers, which was filmed in South Africa and TBS' dark comedy Search Party. On the theatre front, he appeared Off Broadway in the Neil Labute play In a Dark, Dark House.

  

Livingston may be best known as the star of the cult movie hit Office Space. Directed by Mike Judge and starring opposite Jennifer Aniston, the film has gone on to become one of the industry's best-selling rentals of all time.

 

Raised in Iowa, Livingston graduated from Marion High School and attended Yale University. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
