S19 E08 Week 6: Pitbull Joins the Party

10/20/14 | TV-PG | CC

It was time to party in the ballroom as Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull, kicked the night off with a performance of his new single "Fireball" before heading over to the Judges' Table to join Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Then things got even more fun as former celebrity dancer Leah Remini returned, this time as a co-host with Tom Bergeron. Then it was time for the nine remaining couples to hit the dance floor and compete, before one of them faced elimination at the end of the night. Which couple's party was cut short? Let's go to the scores!

*eliminated this week

• Actor Jonathan Bennett had a tough couple of weeks, but he was happy to be reunited with his original partner, Allison Holker, for their Jazz routine. The judges were happy to see some of Jonathan's range and ability on display and his scoring slump was a thing of the past.

• After steaming up the dance floor last week, Janel Parrish was back with Valentin Chmerkovskiy for a sizzling Samba. The two of them talked about some developing feelings during their rehearsals, but they got some mixed feelings from the judges.

• The night was going to be a party for Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd who got to go into their Foxtrot knowing they were safe from elimination. He and Peta may have sweated it out in a sweat lodge during their rehearsals, but there was nothing to sweat from the judges' comments.

• It was time for some more Salsa in the ballroom as Antonio Sabato Jr. reunited with Cheryl Burke. The judges really liked the choreography and storytelling, but there were a lot of technical notes for Antonio.

• Coming off of a great week with her Switch Up partner, Sadie Robertson was back with Mark Ballas for a Rumba set to Rihanna. It was a tricky performance because the Rumba is considered such a sensual dance and Sadie and her family had to feel totally comfortable with the choreography. But the two of them put together a tasteful and age-appropriate performance that had crowd and the judges loved.

• The Switch Up was great for Lea Thompson, but she was back with her original partner, Artem Chigvintsev. With their spot as second on the leaderboard, they were feeling the pressure to compete and it showed. Some of the judges felt like she needed to stay focused on herself and less on the competition.

• Last week was a rough one for Michael Waltrip with straight fives, but he was hoping that being back with Emma Slater that his scores would improve. He had a great race in Talladega the day before, and they put together a routine the judges could get behind.

• Reunited, Bethany Mota and Derek Hough were looking to make magic on the dance floor. But it's tough to make magic without any time, and that's where they found themselves this week during rehearsals. But somehow magic still happened with a fantastic, non-nonsense Tango routine that the judges loved.

• Closing out the night, Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson were looking to extend their time at the top of the leaderboard, but Alfonso's groin injury and a recent injury scare for Witney during rehearsals threatened to end their reign early. But despite some injuries, they kept their spot on top for another week!

• While the night had been a total party for a lot of our couples, it was time for the party to end for someone. This week, it was time to say goodbye to Jonathan and Allison.
