By Jim Donnelly | Nov 25th, 2015

Welcome to the official Dancing with the Stars recap for Season 21 Finale (original airdate November 24, 2015). It all came down to this. In the two-hour season finale, the three finalists advanced to the final stage of the competition and a Dancing with the Stars winner was crowned. Before that the three finalists each danced a repeat dance from this season. In the last element of competition, the teams performed a new routine as part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge.” They had less than 24 hours to prepare that dance. At the end of the night, the winning team of Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough was awarded the coveted Mirrorball trophy. Let’s see how it all played out in The Glitter Report!

Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess’s Last Dance: The team did a fusion dance by combining a spicy Salsa and a top-notch Tango. Julianne said Nick left it all on the dance floor and Bruno added that this team could always be counted on to spice up the night. Carrie Ann was sad that this was Nick’s last dance but happy that he ended it on the highest of notes. Guess that’s why they got another perfect score with three 10s.

Alek Skarlatos & Lindsay Arnold’s Last Dance: The team did a fusion dance to “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay. The team mixed a Rumba and a Tango for their final routine of the season. Bruno was impressed that Alek’s hips were coming alive, but there were a couple of foot faults. Carrie Ann was also impressed by the hip action and Julianne added that Alek’s future is so bright. The judges awarded him three 9s for his final dance of the season.
